While running the cable for the new RADAR I found a computer cable stuffed behind the starboard setee near the DC electrical panel. The end I can see has an RS232 D9 cable end. I have no idea where the other end goes. Anyone have a similar set up on a newer (2005 or so) 33? Any ideas on what it's used for? I think it may let me hook up a laptop to the the seatalk network / chart plotter but I'm not sure.

Could be a video cable, what brand is your chart plotter?

Do you have a flat screen TV there?

I had one installed when I first got my H33. You are correct in that it allows you to connect your computer to the seatalk network. Unfortunately RayMarine's price for the computer software was astronomical. I was going to use it to upload waypoints to my chartplotter. In the end I just stood in the cockpit and entered them. I never used the connection for much after that.
