Rover went for his first spalsh in two years, and all went well. For those of you who were inquiring, the new Vetus 25 HP, purred like a kitten, no prop walk, turn right, it goes right, turn left, it goes left. 7 knots at 2000 RPM, and smooth as silk. We finally settled on a 3 blade 14 inch, 10 pitch prop. No vibration, no wobble, and I may buy a pair of water skis. Thank you all once again for your sage advice. Were going sailing! Fair winds!

Congrats!

Way to go Bob. It must be a really good feeling to know you have a reliable power source. Especially one that goes so well. My own 1979 2QM20 is too small for my H37C. I have an old 3QM30 in the garage that was probably a poor purchase. It is not even heat exchanger equipped, still looking for parts. A nice new Vetus would have made a lot more sense. Unfortunately the Admiral does not see it the same way.

Tell the admiral about the hot water Ed

Hot water, and a lot of it! Vetus makes em up to about 125 Hp, with a few in the range for yourboat. They have a two year warranty, and they are c ouple of hundred pounds lighter. Try 1-800-RUNS-NEW
