Rough night

I'm not sure if I'm doing this right. It's the first time I'm posting a video.

Had a tough night last night in the marina where I'm located. There was a huge storm surge that was throwing boats around. This video does not capture the movement well, but it's all I've got. The main dock where I'm standing out past my boat actually broke near my left foot. We were looking at how best we could stabilize the boats and the dock in this video. The storm surge lasted several hours, probably about 6 hours, I'm not sure but it sure reeked havoc in the marina. Several finger piers broke, a number of boats were damaged. I'm thanking my lucky stars nothing happened to my boat even though the large blue boat just past my boat was actually crashing into my boat. But we'd put a number of fenders between the two boats so nothing happened to either boat. Whew....

Earlier this evening @dLj shared a video of a rough night in his marina. The video itself was most certainly appropriate for this forum. Unknowingly, he uploaded the video to a platform that is highly politicized. After the video played the viewer would be inundated with videos representing an extreme political viewpoint. This is simply unacceptable and is the reason for the link to video being removed without prejudice towards @dLj. He is welcome to post his video on another platform and share it here.

It has long been the policy of SBO Forums to eschew political commentary and discussions. True, from time to time our own political leanings have leaked out and occasional mild transgressions of this policy have been tolerated. After all we are all human and our personal beliefs are a core part of our being. So long as we all demonstrate the good sense and common courtesy to not inflame those transgressions, we'll let the mild and occasional transgression slide.

Going forward sharing content from websites that express a clear political agenda, even if that content is apolitical and yours, may not be treated as benevolently or without prejudice.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. The members of the SBO Forums are a great bunch of people who have created an accepting space for sailors of all stripes. Let's work to keep it that way.
