I have an 1982 27' Hunter and have added 2 additional halyards to the inmast rigging. I need to add another deck organizer and a rope clutch. I haven't been able to find anything that matches the original organizer and rope clutch, which is mounted on the port side next to the main winch at the companion way.If anyone has any info if these items are still available or what updates you have done I would appreciate it.I am not happy with the block style rope clutches that are out there and would like to find a source for the originals. Please don't advise to contact Hunter, they are not particularly helpful to us older boat owners. Thanks!

New clutches

A recent article in Practical Sailor reviewed available clutches. With what's new on the market, I think I would consider their recommendations.

PS issue

Do you know what issue it's in? I haven't seen it. Can you summarize their recommendations?

Dramatic Improvements

are available in modern rope clutches. So I would recommend buyinh new (even if it means installation challenges). I did. David Lady Lillie '77 h27

Do not think that they are available.

Lyn: I do not think that these units are any longer available. You may look on ebay or in some of the used gear shops. I would suggest that you also look at Garhauer Marine. They have very economically priced, high quality gear. You can find them at www.garhauermarine.com
