Room for kids on Albin Vega?

Hi,

We're considering an Albin Vega for cruising Puget Sound, first for a
week but later on for as long as 1-2 months. We have two kids, ages 6
and 8 now. As time passes, does an Albin Vega have storage and space
to handle supplies and room for a family of four doing coastal
cruising and sleeping aboard, or it likely to become too cramped?

Thanks!

Hi.:

many many years ago (when I was still young- chuckle) I
sailed with my two kids (about the age of your kids) for up
to 4 weeks... and we loved it. Though that was in fresh
water (Great Lakes). Sailing in ocean waters could create a
problem with drinking water. But that's true for any size
of boat...

Hi Jim

Been sailing a Vega fora while but four adults is a bit cramped for extended
cruising. Two adults and two kids is OK but as they grow to teenagers you
will have to be very friendly! Loads of storage so no problem on that side
and if you add a cockpit tent then bags of room.

I sailed a Vega back from Sweden to the southern end of Denmark with four
adults and had a great time for two weeks. Had toput up with a lot of
snoring from everyone but me (well I didnt hear myself snoring!).

Cheers
