Peggy, in June I entered a thread on replacing my 1992 Legend 43 holding tank. I had the original manufacturer, EZELL, aluminium at 387.00. 3M at 485 and Ronco at 1485. or there about. While Ronco was best, becasue of the set up fee of 1265. it was cost prohibative. You offered to talk with Tony to see if there was anything that could be worked out but never got back to me. It is now time to move and I was wondering if you had any success with Tony. I would prefer the Ronco as it is seamless, but not at three times the price. Thanks, Art Butler

I don't think so..

'Cuz for one thing, I don't know of any Tony at Ronco...and for another, rotomolded plastic tanks are very reasonably priced IF the mold already exists. But it's expensive to make a mold...and any mfr is gonna pass the cost of making a mold just to make a one-off custom tank on to the customer, 'cuz who knows if/when they'll ever have a call to use that mold again.

Try these folks for a custom WELDED plastic tank: Triple M Plastic Products Inc

Holding tank

A few years ago I contacted Ronco for a price quote to replace our original 1991 SS tank. They quoted me $250 plus shipping. Seemed pretty reasonable at the time. Ours remains in pretty good condition so have opted to replace it with a Ronco tank when the current one fails.

RONCO tanks are very reasonably priced, IF they already have a mold for the "blank" of the tank you need. If they don't, the cost of the building the mold is passed along to you. They aren't really in the business of making custom tanks; their tanks are semi-custom -meaning that they can custom-locate the fittings you need anywhere, within practical and mechanical constraints, on the tank. But their tanks are all made in molds, they don't fabricate the actual tank based on a drawing that you supply. So if they already have the mold, you're good to go. But if they don't, it becomes quite expensive. Plus, you have to allow them the additional time to actually build the mold...
