Rolling fuller jib. H26

How do you roll up the sail in a roller system of the boat. Is there a trick or do you just roll it up like a burrito.. The boat was currently being sailed without a jib.. and I have a new one sitting in the sail bag I need to install befor we raise the mast.

You should have a line wrapped inside the drum at the bottom of the head stay and leading to the cockpit. When you pull on that line the drum turns and wraps the sail around the extrusion on the head stay. To deploy the sail release the line and pull on the head sheet. Think of it as a tug of war between the furler line and the head sheet, pull one and the drum turns one way and pull the other and it will turn the opposite way. When the sail is wrapped make sure to cleat the furler line to prevent unintended deployment. I laughed at your comment because on more than one occasion we have had to wrap ours by hand and ended up looking like a burrito. Post the brand and model of your furler and you may get more specific information. If your furler has no line you will need to install one.

Crazy Dave I tried emailing you with a contact number I don't know if you got it or not.
As of currently the mask and Jib are apart.. the the jib system has a drum at the bottom with line wrapped in. My question is how do u feed a new sail into the system . I know how a rolling fuller works .. it looks like it has a plasti piece that runs along thro line to where it would connect to the mast. Does the new sail slide into anything or just wraps around it.

The jib is a cdl rolling Fuller...what w is the best way to feed a new sail into the system.

Be sure and tie a messenger line to the CDI halyard before you raise the mast. Once the mast is up, the end is at the top. You can untie the messenger when you have sent enough sail up the foil and can reach the halyard.

The jib is raised but it seems it's too high up on the wire and won't come down to lock in the track at the base.any suggestions?

If I understand you, the tack does not connect directly to the drum. A short line is used between the strap on the drum and the clew.

Well, that sorta looks like a CDI furler, but I see nothing on the top of the drum to tie off to. Can anyone confirm it's an older model?

Since I never heard back from you, I will try to answer this but first is that a screw hole on the side of the black upward section under the sail I see in the photo? Are there two holes? Any hardware or holes which to screw into on the other side of that drum? Also the two endentations, is there a direct hole between them>
