CDI FF2 system is my preferred choice. The extrusion is one piece not in halves like others which the halves have a tendancy to slide against each other. Also, it has it's own internal halyard. Others will require you to take the sail off as you have to use the jib halyard which is also used for the mast raising system. Lifetime guarantee as long as you own the boat. You can lay it on the boat and it is flexible to some degree without being hurt or damaged.
Any bearings do have a tendancy to wear if the jib is slack. If you have any questions about the system, contact CDI and the fellow will be glad to discuss any issues with you.
If you do order that system, the extrusion comes coiled in a box. you will have to uncoil in the opposite direction and make sure you have duty heavy tie straps to secure. I suggest two friends to help you with this. One day in good sunlight is all it takes. Never use a torch on this. Big mistake if you do.
Sail conversion will need a # 6 luff tape and add sunbrella covering to the sail. in addition, you need to know which way to unfurl the sail and generally it is to the port side.
