I have below deck furling and need to attach a 3/8” double braid line. It is a 1993 system on a Hunter Legend 35.5
I don’t know how to attach the line

Do you mean attach the line to the furler drum? If so, that is dependent on the specific furler, but generally there is a hole in the top or bottom of the drum that you pass the line through and tie a knot on the end to capture it.

If the furler is OEM it should be a Hood 800 SL. If so, there are two screws at the bottom of the drum cover. Remove those and the drum should slide down some. Pass the new line through the opening in the drum cover, through the hole in the drum and tie a knot in the end of the line. Then it's just a matter of replacing the cover and rotating the drive assembly it load the line around the drum.

Do you have the owners manual? If not, look under boat information then Hunter resources and boat model Look there too

the forum store and SBO probably has th build list of parts for your boat. Ask for Mike or Al both whom worked for Hunter. Y
