Got my sails back from SailCare - very happy - look brand new and given they were more dirty than out of shape, then should do well. Went to install the jib today and MAN what a pain it was to hoist on the roller furling - I'm guessing it is a combo of stiffness (sort of) and the line that goes down the groove in the foller furling being dirty/stiff. It took everthing I had to pull it down (up) and took over an hour. Yeah, I probably should have taken the mast down and "done it right" but I want to sail!!! Anyone else experience this particular joy? Fair winds, Bill

lift + lube the luff tape?
I put a little wax on the feeder slot in my furler, and used 2 hands to put pressure up on the luff tape. then just took up the slack on the hoisting line. Seemed to work much much much better for me (i had pre-loaded it with the mast down, but there was a needed repair i discovered on the first day out (stupid me assumes "hey, newish jib, i dont need to check it" ) to the clew attachment ring, so i dropped and rehoisted a few days later. lifitng the sail by handmade life much easer.
