I have a Hunter 36 with a roller furling system from Cruising Designs. I know how it is suppose to work, but how does this one work? Any mantainence manuals anywhere? What should I do if it turns the turnbuckles instead of the drum? Any advice on web sites to turn to to find out about this furling system (I've searched, but have not found.) Thanks Kent

This is not good.

The extrusion should not be resting on the turnbuckle. There is a pin that goes thru the top part of the furler that supports the extrusion and keeps it from rubbing on the turnbuckle. I also suggest that you place cotter pins in the studs of the turnbuckle to prevent turning. Go to Cruising Designs for pictures and info on your furler. http://www.sailcdi.com/ should get you there. Good luck. Bob S/V Gravyboat
