26.5 roller furling
I have the Harken Unit 0 on my '87 26.5 and have had no problems. In my club, the SnapFurl and ProFurl units seem to be preferred on other boats because of the simplicity of mounting. My headsail is the North Aeroluff that came with the boat. It measures 26'8" luff, 24' leach and 15' foot. The only problem I have with this sail is that the clew is 2' off the deck and this doesn't allow me to use the block tracks for sail adjustment. I have to use the aft blocks that are mounted in a fixed position. I would like to find a sail with a leach of 25' possibly 26'. The closest used sails to thes dimensions are those off a J24, they are almost identical to my current sail. However, most are hanked on but you can find some that are tape luffs.
