Works Now
Barry,I also had a ton of trouble with my Hood line drive 810, continuous line furler. I tried everything to make it work. I finally found that it was simply missing a connection bracket. For the furler to work correctly when mounted below the deck it has to have a bracket to hold in position. The line must feed into the drum and out of the drum straight and the drum must stay in position. Otherwise, the drum twists out of position and the line no longer feeds in correctly. The connection goes form the bottom of the drum, down a few inches to a steel horizontal cross piece. Once I connected this, The furler has worked perfectly! I can pull the jib in and out with two fingers. Phil
