What preventive maintenance should I do to my Hood Seafurl 2 roller furler while I have the geneoa at the loft getting restiched?

Don't know it's age but it's attached to my new to me '82 H30 and has been in only freshwater for at least last 15 years.

It worked fine on the couple of sails I've had on her and the taking down of the genoa was not too tough - the luff wire didn't slip right down the groove but with some effort it did come down.

I'm thinking of spraying a bit of dry lub (sailkote) on the foil to help the car slide up and down (right term? car - the part with snap shackle that's attached to head of sail and slides on the foil) .....?

Ideas?

Thanks

furler maintenance

Had the top swivel jam up - without halyard wrap. Not much fun. Now,
when the sail is down I always wash the halyard swivel with
soapy water, rinse well, and when dry again, spray
sailcote on the bearings. Had no more problems with my old Seafurl since then.
