We are Macgregor 19 owners and have recently purchased a CDI Furler system, what size sail is recommended. Th average wind speeds that we sail in is 15 Knots. We would appreciate it if the luff and foot size could be provided if possible. Regards Peter and Alison Cape Town South Africa

I don't know directly

I did the same thing as you have and bought a CDI roller furler for my MAC25, and then needed to figure out what size headsail to buy to go with it. Also, I needed to replace my headstay and so, that too needed to be figured out. That is the proper length and type of hardware swivels needed. Luckily there was Sail Warehouse. Once on the website I found everything I needed to go with my CDI Furler. Best yet, it was organized according to the boat, so that made things sort of 'taylor made' and I didn't have to come up with actual numbers or anything. Useful site whether you intend to buy from there or just find the sail size you need. That-a-way, you can copy down the number sizes and go from there. If you need a forestay made just for you boat to fit the CDI, that too can be shipped to you. Incidently, taking the time to read the directions on the CDI manual will make the job lots easier. Get a friend to help you because feeding the extruded foil up the forestay and balancing the mast can be hard to do for one guy. Good luck! Tom
