I seached the forums for an answer but didn't find one so here's my Roller Furler question: How to adjust it so it rolls up the entire sail again. After replacing Headstay only about 2/3 of sail roll up. Newbie who just bought a 1997 26X. Came with CDI FF2 Roller Furler with 150% Genoa. I decided to replace all the shrouds, lines & stays. The Manual is not clear on how to replace the Headstay and have the Luff roll up more sail. I had to unroll to sail (removed unit from boat) & tried to reset turnbuckle the same. I rolled the sail back on the Luff by hand with the controller line. Some line didn't wind into the cup so I put turns in by but I'm guessing rolling the Luff without having both ends secured prevented the spring from getting enough tension. Do I need to take it down and re-roll the sail? Thanks in advance. Garry

Welcome, Dilligas.
You'll need to keep some tension on the sail when you're furling it up. My foresail is a 150% also, and when she's rolled in with a couple extra wraps of sheet around her, the drum is down to only 1 or 2 wraps of control line.

When unfurling, care should be taken to keep some tension on the control line so it'll wrap around the drum in an orderly manner. This is also where the fairlead's placement will come into play. Depending on the diameter of the line, if you allow too many overwraps, the line can jam the drum's rotation.

There's no spring in a CDI furler.

Also, make sure to use some type of cotter pins or rings in your turnbuckle. All that rotating can unscrew it.

Also, the diameter of the control line will determine how much will roll on before your drum is full. I ended up going out and buying a thinner line than what came with the furler so that more would roll onto the drum.
