Roller Furler for 25' O'Day

Furler for O'Day 25

Tom,I have a 76 O'Day 25 and went through the same process of researching and buying a furler a few months back. In fact you can probably find my postings and all of the replies in the Archive.I ended up going with a CDI FF4 and have been extremely pleased with it... by far the best upgrade I've made to my boat. From what I've read and heard from others, there may be other brands like Harken that are better for high-performance/racing, but the CDI is a very proven and reliable brand for humble daysailers and cruisers like myself.The CDI FF4 comes with or without ball bearings (your choice). I bought mine with ball bearings from Cruising Direct. You won't regret buying one, I can promise you that much. Also, having watched mine installed, I will warn you that it's not a project for amateurs (like myself). Go Harken

We did our homework and went with a Harken Unit 0. They also make the Unit 00AL which is a little less beefy and a little less money. Either way, we really liked the Harken units, they way the were built and operated. We were able to install ours by ourselves which also helped us save a substantial amount of money which we were then able to put toward the equipment.
