WE ARE INTERESTED IN THE ROADMASTER ACTIVE SUSPENSION FOR OUR CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUTNRY VAN FOR TOWING A MACGREGOR 26S, DOES ANYONE HAVE THIS SYSTEM? WHAT DO Y'ALL THINK?
Jason, turn your caps off. It's considered yelling on forums! It's an interesting looking system but do you really need it? My little Aerostar doesn't sag at all with my Mac26. I'm more interested in adding a rear sway bar for stability.
I believe I agree with Justin on the sway control. Tongue weight has never been a problem for me. It could be though on lighter vehicles or vans. Air shocks would probably be cheaper and maybe stronger but I've had sway issues at higher speeds or with strong winds. Part of this is due to the light boat (Mac 26S). WHich by the way is for sale.Steve Paul
Sorry about the caps, i didn't realize i had them on. yeah we probably don't really need the system, truth is we are going on vacation with the boat in august, its not the boat i'm worried about but having all our crap in the van itself. I think i'll have the leaf springs upgraded cause i can get that done for cheap.
HiI'm new on here, but I saw this so I thought I'd respond. I've used a roadmaster kit on two different chevy high top conversion vans. They work very well with or without a boat behind. They eliminate sway and add additional dampening when needed without affecting the ride.hope that helpsgrant
