RN300 gps raymarine

I have this RN 300 Raymarine GPS that I want to use with my standard Horizion VHF with AIS.........at the navigation station below

I need an antenna, does anyone know what kind I could use, does raymarine still make one for this GPS

I my recollection is right Raystar 120 or 125 should work with that unit,

the antenna for the Raynav 300 is the dumb antenna and Raymarine does NOT make them any more. Been searching for one as mine has some problems.
if you google GPS antenna you will find some replacements that can be made to work. The raymarine antenna has a microwave amp in it that is powered by the 300 over the coax so you will need to make sure that you modify the home brew so it has no DC connection between the inner and outer coax cables.
I've made one and it works fine. my only issue is longevity of the antenns but they are cheap to build and second time through i should be able to make it more robust.
the coax cable is RG168 if memory serves and you can get the connectors at Radio Shack
