So after trying for NINE days to contact rigrite, and being told by the answering service that my messages were getting thrugh, and after faxing for 5 days, I decided to send 6 copies of the same fax to try to get someone's attention. The result was that I was insulted by rigrite, and told that they would not help me. Had they told me that they would not help me (I was about to spend HUNDREDS of $$$ with them for gooseneck parts for my NB26 on my Hunter 31), I could have ordered it from ebspars.com in Canada and it would have been here by now. What jerks. Too bad that fire did not do more damage and put them out of business. Anyone have an alternative to rigrite in the states? I don't like international shipping! Is everyone else getting screwed around by rigrite like me? Thanks, Marty

Re: Alternative to RigRite

I just ordered some Isomat parts from Oyster Bay Boat Shop. They're located in NY. I called a couple of other distributors, but Oyster Bay was the only one that had them in stock. Very helpful parts guy too. He faxed me exploded parts diagrams and helped me determine exactly what I needed. His name is "Bam". Here is the link to their site.

Not defending them, but they had a major fire.

Marty: I am not defending them but they had a major fire and had some real problems. It is too bad that they were rude. It seems like they would at least tell you that they were having some type of a problem! WOW, not the way to keep old customers.

Yes, I knew about the fire

I am aware they had a fire, and I asked the answering service repeatedly if they were on a long delay in responding, and they said not even 1 day. Too bad the fire didn't wipe em out and put em out of business. Now, since they are jerks, I have to order it from Canada, pay more for shipping, and also worry about customs. It is going to cost about $425 all said and done, and I have no idea what it would cost in the U.S.

Re: NB26

Marty, Give Oyster Bay a call. I'm sure they can help you with the Isomat/Sparcraft stuff. By the way, I have the NB26 boom as well. Common boom for Isomat rigged boats from those production years. Dave

FYI. I just got a return call from Rigrite this morning. I faxed them an inquiry sheet about a week ago. I didn't even think I'd hear from them, but they did finally call me. Although it was too late for them. I already ordered my parts from Oyster Bay Boat Shop.
