Rigid boom vank

I am having trouble adjusting my rigid vang on my 1998 MKII. The boom is resting on the dodger. Is there any adjustment . The unit appears to be bolted to the boom .Any help would be appreciated.

Garhauer?

Hi Frank, I believe Garhauer makes the rigid vang for the C-36. I bought one to upgrade my C-36. If yours is the Garhauer unit, there is no adjustment. If you want the boom to rest higher up, you must move the vang bracket on the boom closer to the mast. You may be able to do this by drilling only two more holes. jv

Call Garhauer

Assuming that your's is a Garhauer vang, I'd give them a call (909-985-9993). Other than moving one of the brackets, they may be able to provide you with an insert or extended length telescoping section at a reasonable price. I've found them to be very helpful and reasonable.

Thank you both for your responce, I will call them on Thursday. I saw the rivits but thought , There must be any easier way to adjust this thing!!!!
