There are two reefing lines that run from the leech of the mainsail through the boom to the gooseneck. Are the reefing lines affixed to the leech using a bowline through each cringle, or is each reefing line led through a cringle and back down to the boom to give a 2:1 purchase?

Thanks.

McZube - I have a Hunter 310 and the reef lines both lead thru the respective cringles and attached beneath the boom

Thanks, Max.

I should have said there is a place for two reefing lines, but only one line is in place. I was on the boat this morning and found that the first reefing point is only about 1' above the boom. I think I'm going to skip that one and rig the second one higher up. So I won't need a second reefing line.
