192 boom rigging
The rigging on the boom of my 192 is pretty straightforward but since I bought the boat used I can't say for sure whether it's in the original configuration. The main has a bolt-rope foot that slides into the track on the boom. The pin on the gooseneck goes through the metal grommet at the tack. There is an outhaul line that is fastened on the right side of the boom, passes through a block shackled to the clew, back to a cheek block on the left-hand end of the boom and forward to a cleat on the left side over the cockpit. The reefing line is similar but on opposite sides and the fittings are about a foot forward of the outhaul. Also, the reefing line goes through the cringle eyelet on the sail, it doesn't have a block like the outhaul does. So, run the reefing line up from the eyestrap on the left side of the boom, through the cringle, down the right side of the sail into the cheek block and forward to the cleat. If you are using new line, it's good to do this with the sail raised so you get the length right. Give your self a little extra since all of my lines seem to get a little shorter when they get salty and retain moisture. My 192 has two tangs on the end of the boom - One for the mainsheet and a second for a topping lift or to attach to the pigtail on the backstay There should also be a hook on the right-hand side of the gooseneck. This is for the tack cringle when putting in a reef. I hope this is of some help
