How long can you expect stainless steel standing rigging to last in a freshwater boat that leaves the mast up all winter?

I just got a Cat 27 1982 vintage Lake Michigan fresh water only, 31 years on rigging, we replaced it all! Forestay had a bit of rust near the base on inspection rust was working its way in side of fitting due to lack of oxygen caused by dirt and crud this can cause catastrophic failure,
I don't think any one can give you a date, one way is your turnbuckles turned way in ? this could be cable stretch or mast deck or compression, compression post compression? all major problems on older Cats.
After mast is un stepped, This is a great time to re bed chain plates and lower shrouds bolts,
were just wrapping up window re bedding and all deck hardware to keep her dry for a long time.
