Rigging From Transport Mode

Hi,
I'm relatively new to the list, and would like to know how long it takes to rig
the Albin Vega from transport mode to sailing mode?

I trailer three of four times per season, so knowing the time it takes to rig
and take down the mast would help me greatly. I like the capabilities of the Vega. Great boat!

I am guessing that it will take me 4-6 hours to step the mast, reconnect mast wiring,connect and tension stays/shrouds, attach the boom, put on the sails, install the running rigging, take the boat down the ramp, unhitch the trailer, attach the launching strap, unstrap the boat from the trailer, roll the trailer out and launch the boat, haul the trailer out of the water, reconnect it to the truck and park it. Once the boat is sailing, tune the rigging. I can tell you if I guessed correctly in April. Getting it from sailing mode to transport mode is faster (was maybe 3 hours). As you can guess, I don't do this for a day sail.-Tim

Thanks you for your very helpful response. It is precisely the kind of
information I'm looking for from those who trailer their Vega.

Four to six hours from transport mode to launch certainly eliminates day-sailing
with the Vega.
