I have found that the two aft lower shrouds are loose. They have tubular turnbuckles and one of them cannot be adjusted because of a frozen nut on the bottom. Has anyone replaced the turnbuckles without using a rigger? I do not want to be penny wise and pound foolish but it looks fairly simple to do.

I've had to replace the older tube style turnbuckles.
Just take the old one off, the mast will be fine with the other 5 shrouds and fore and back stay up. The shroud should have a the threaded end swagged to it. Just make sure you either order the right size or take it to West Marine and get the newer open style. They are expensive...
