I bought a spinnaker on Ebay on a whim. It was cheap. It might be a little too big. Does anybody have experiance rigging a chute on this little boat. You know that it has another halyard below the fractionally rigged furling jib. according to one ad. in West Marine, a standard spinnaker can be rigged as an asymetrical with a thing that wraps around the furled foresail with a down haul. Any thoughts?

Spinnaker on 192

The spinnaker halyard block will have to go above the forestay on the mast. The sail flies ahead of all the standing rigging. Don't know about flying a symmetrical kite without a pole - the cut of the two styles of sail is different, but occasionally you'll see a symmetrical with the pole practically up against the forestay, so there may be some points of sail where it would work. Why not try it with a whisker pole, though? Dave
