We have a 1996 Hunter 19 with a standard 110% roller furling genoa. Does anyone know specifically what rigging changes would be involved to upgrade to a 135% or 150% genoa. Thanks, Phil

Check the archives

There have been a lot of discussion (pro and con) of moving past the standard gib with a “main driven” boat. May want to check it out.

RE: Archives

It looks like the problems with a larger head sail and the rails/standing rigging have been beaten to death in the archives. A spinnaker is looking like the better option. Thanks, Phil

Cruising Spinnaker

I priced down wind sails for my 170 at the Annapolis Boat Show. Kappa Sails (www.kappasails.com) had the best prices, and can custom design a sail for you if you know the dimensions of your boat (which are in the Owner's Manual). Cruising Direct is a division of North Sails (www.northsails.com) that can do the same thing. At the show, though, North did not have the best prices. Tom
