Go to the Day Sailor Association site. http://www.daysailer.org/ The forum has a great deal of information as well and you don't have to be a member of the DS Assoc. to register on the forum. The "Technical Info" section has rigging guides and you will find a wealth of information on the forum specific to the Day Sailer. Is your 73 a Day Sailer I or II. The DS1 has an open cuddy cabin with wood floor boards, the DS2 has a bulkhead and smaller opening for the cuddy cabin and a fiberglass cockpit sole. These boats are still in production by Cape Cod Shipbuilding. D&R Marine is a good source of parts. I have a 1976 Day Sailer II.

Welcome to the Day Sailer II!
I have owned my 1979 model for 17 years now and really enjoy her. I have created an expanded version of the original O'DAY-Supplied rigging instructions that includes diagrams of rigging all years and that includes the 1973 model. Contact me off-list (click on my screen name to send an e-mail) to order or for more info. I d ohave to request $10 to cover the printing and postage, but include scans of all my DS II sales brochures (includes 1973).
I feel bad that I neglected to add the following diagrams before.......
In the cockpit view drawing, the ss cable that lifts the CB is inside the cuddy, the dwg makes it appear to be on top, but it is inside.
I also am more than willing to answer DS II rigging questions anytime, no charge! Just realize that I REALLY enjoy talking boats and have been known to be "long-winded"!!
