I just had my 336 B&R rig professionally tuned yesterday. On the way home from the service marina I immediately noticed a slight vibration from the engine which got progressively worse as I motored back to my home marine 12 miles away. Is it possible the new tensions on the stays may have pulled the engine drive out of alignment? Please advise.

James, from the sound of it,,

(sorry, no pun intended) I would check the engine mounts. The word 'progressively' is key. If a mount bolt came lose you would get a progressively more pronounced vibration. Specifically check the the nuts holding the engine to the studs, both top and bottom. The rig should have no effect on engine alignment.

Don't forget....

...that prop shaft alignment can only be done correctly after the hull has been in the water for a few days to allow the hull to reshape to the water instead of sitting on its keel. You may also want to see if the zinc you installed has come loose.
