Rig Tension

Hello,

Ive had a lot of work done to my mast and the measurements and settings I had will not work now, can anyone advise on how to set the mast up from scratch or with the use of a rig tensioner.

There's a file in the Yahoo files section called "VegaRigTune.txt"
Also, the Vega Handbook (also in the files section) has a good section on setting up the rig.

Scott, have you read Per Brohall's account in the Vega handbook? I am no
expert, and I don't race. I followed the manual last year. I found it easy
to follow and I was satisfied with the results. We sailed more than 2,000
nm without mishap, though nothing above F7. If you search the archive in
this group I think you will find a thread from last year in which it was
pointed out that the Vega is not designed to take the sort of
rigging tension you get on modern yachts. Quite a lot has been written
about this here in the last couple of years especially in relation to coach
roof compression and deck/hull joint. Tom
