Does anyone have specific specs./manufacturers recommendations on rig tension. I have used most of the std. techniques, of checking mast straightness under load etc. I would just like to have the guidelines so as not to overtension the rig. thanks, Bill Beglin

Shroud Line Tension

Remember Beneteau doesn't build the rigging, US Spars does, and Ben recommends contacting US Spars for rigging info. Their wesite does have some rigging ideas, but not exclusively for the 323. I did call them and they gave me the same info Doug supplied. Tighten the uppers to tighten the forstay. Tighten the backstays and lower shroud lines so when under load. in approx. 15 knts. of wind, the windward lines aren't slack. My headsail also seems a little slack, but I'm not getting a foot of rake in the mast either. I have re-rigged it seveal times now and I can get it where I want it, but it takes a few adjustments. Sail On... Terry
