Dear PeggyThe previous owners of our boat had a kerosene lamp in the cabin and apparently used it quit a bit because we have a lingering kerosene scent throughout. We have had the cushions cleaned and deoderized, as well as have cleaned the entire inside of our cabin, but to no avail. Still the odor. When the weather warms up I want to take a hose-end sprayer and fill it with something that I can spray into every nook and cranny of our cabin to rid the odor. I was checking out the product BC bilge cleaner which says its safe on every surface to use. I don't want to ruin the teak in the cabin when I use the sprayer. What do you think? BTW, we have a diesel engine in our boat but I have clean and degreased it. The odor seems to be more a kerosene smell as supported by other noses. Thanks.
