RIB's Review(Walker Bay genesis?)

I'm in the market of purchasing a RIB. I have my eye on the Walker Bay Genesis 270 Light Folding transom. I cant find any reviews on these boats and I don't personally know anyone that owns one. looking for owners thoughts and reviews on this Dinghy and what they think of it. It will be towed behind my Catalina 30, 80% of the time, the other times will be on the deck for long cruises. Possibly on Davits in the future. I know i will need to install 2 "D" rings on the front sides for towing as it only comes with one ring in the front. Thanks.

Why not go for a used one and save some money. I picked up a used Avon RIB for $750. Came with a Loos tensioning gauge and an water expansion tank with pump.

I have one ring in the center of the bow (fiberglass part)... it tows fine.

ive have been looking for used. cant find anything at this time in my area, within 150 - 200 KM, Im checking every couple days... so, single ring tows fine... good to know.

Look for sales. I picked up a brand new Mercury Ocean Runner 290 that was a display model from Defender last fall for $1000.

Thats a great deal. I also check for some sales on new ones, from local places, as well as Defender. How do you like your Merc?

I love it. It has a nice high bow to make it easy for my pooch to get in. I can get it to plane with a 4hp 2 stroke. It is PVC but the sun is not as strong up here and it is stored in a rack that has a dinghy above it.
