Rewiring the Control Panel at the Nav Area

I purchased a 1988 Legend 37 that had a fire in the Nav area. The fire fried the front of the control panel but did not effect the rear of the panel. The company who made the original panel is out of business. I can't tell from the rear of the panel what gauges or curcuits each position controlled. It would be most helpful to if another 1988 Legend 37 owner could list from the from of the panel which dial, breaker, gauge is controlled I could then wire the new panel accordingly. Unfortunately, Hunter does not have the panel wiring diagram. This is the biggest problem I foresee in restoring the boat. Any help is very much appreciated.

I'll try something.

I won't get to my boat for another 12 days, but when I do, I'll copy down the switch locations. My manual is also on the boat, so I'll look at that also. I know it has a display panel for the LED's that light up when the various circuit breakers are turned on. BTW, I have an '88 Legend 37

Similiar Problem

I have an '87 37.5 which had a bad four position battery slector switch. A friend (?) clipped out the old switch and failed to mark the wires. I ordered a new switch from Ultra Panel Marine, Inc. 6891 N.W. 73 Court, Miami, Fla. 33166. They were not able to give me a wiring diagram but they were able to identify the parts. I do get the volts to read but am not able to check each battery. If you or anyone else gets their hands on a w/d for the panel, I would be eternally grateful to recieve a copy.

Mickey, I took pictures of the control panel this w/e. I also emailed you from the Owner's Directory. Let me know if you can use them.
