Revarnishing interior wood - companionway

The wood along the companionway of my Catalina 310 #179 is quite weathered. Long ago in this forum a C310 owner named Jon White said the interior varnish is a water-based varnish from Target Coatings.

I'm trying to decide whether to try Target Coating's current water-based exterior varnish offering ( http://www.targetcoatings.com/emtech-2000.html )or go with something else.

Anyone else revarnished this area and pleased with results? Extra credit for better weather resistance.

I havn't varnished but have used a bit of teak oil seems to keep it lookin good

Haven't varnished either, but Old English wood treatment keeps the interior wood looking good. Stops any mold, too!
