Rawson 30' Ketch Oklahoma for now
I have an old built in fiberglass tank that was used to hold Kerosene for a heater and stove that were removed years ago. Its location would be perfect for the holding tank I need to replace, directly below deck pump out and adjacent to the head, unlike the existing tank. The tank has been full for years without any sign of leakage. Can I just use it as is, with the addition of needed fittings of course, or do I need the replace it? Thanks

You can use it....I think

First, fill it full of a strong solution of detergent and water...go sailing and agitate it for a couple of hours (if the boat is on the hard, let it sit for at least 24 hours)...then rinse it out VERY thoroughly with plenty of clean water (sea water will do). Fill it up again with clean water and let it sit for at least 24 hours to make sure that it wasn't just an oil film that was preventing it from leaking. If it has an inspection port, after you've cleaned it out, check the inside of the tank carefully for any cracks or blisters. If it doesn't doesn't leak and it still looks good inside, it it should make an ok holding tank.
