two ways
There are two ways. First method: Sail/motor boat to shallows and keel will fold up. To secure read the second method. Second method: Attach one end of a sturdy line (3/8") to one of the sheet winches (e.g. port). Go to bow of boat with the other end of the line and drop it into the water infront of the bow and allow it to go under the boat. Walk the line back to the starboard winch and start cranking. It can be done but it is extremely hard work. Make sure to provide chafe protection for the line because it will cut a groove into the gunwales if you don't. I have done both methods and they do work.
