Retractable keel lock bolt leak on c22

I just launched a 1987 c22 that had not been sailed since 1992. I bought it this spring. As soon as I dropped the keel and tighten the lock down bolt a small leak developed. There appears to be a hair line crack below the bolt hole. It leakes only when keel is down. When moored with keel up, all is fine. Does anyone know how to fix without a haul out? What can be done? It takes on about a gallon every 4 hours....a real hassel. Any comments would be appreciated.

You're not alone!

I had Exactly the same problem. I decided for a quick fix for summer until the fall when I will haul-out and due all sorts of repairs. I went to Home Depot and bought a Fiberglass repair kit and Glassed the area below the bolt where the leak is coming from. For now it does'nt leak , but this is not the final solution.
