Reseting the ST4000Plus

I need to recalabrate my ST4000Plus but it will not allow me to get into the Dealer Setup.For some reason the manual doesn't tell us how to reset this unit to factory defaults.Does anyone know the keystrokes to reset the unit to Factory shipping default settings?

Try Cal Lock

I have an ST4000 AP. My Manual on page 36 section 5.2 is Dealer Setup. You have to hold the Standby button for 14 seconds to enter the dealer setup. The first parameter is CAL LOCK ON/OFF. Make sure it is set to OFF.Autohelm is now owned by Ray Marine. Their ST4000 web page is at http://www.autohelm.com/recreational/index.html. Done the 14 second thing...

I've done the 14 second button push but that only gets me into the illumination setting then it goes into sets of three letter error codes.I've got to find some way of getting this thing back to factory settings...No response from Ray Marine thus far, it's been a couple weeks....

Bert,Have you tried Ray Marines e-mail tech support? I found them quite helpful and reasonably quick to respond this past summer when trying to debug my ST6000 . Bryce
