Dear Friends,
I am an owner of Beneteau 461 ( 1997 ). My problem is: If I am getting 220 V from the shore, after each cut of electricy I have to push the reset button on the panel. Otherwise, when the electricty comes back, the panel does not send 220 V to the battery charger and the plugs in the boat. It seems that it is an excellent saver for up and downs but if I leave the boat for a week, naturally the fridge kills the batteries.
Do you have this kind of system in your boat? Or Is it a system fault in my boat? Do ypu have a solution?
Thank you in advance for any kind of advice.

Do you mean the breaker trips when you first turn on the power?

It might in that case be an inrush, why don't you try turning off all the loads that you can to see if the fault still occurs.

Thank you John.
I see that there is 220 V on the panel. But, normally, when electricty comes back, the battery charger should start, automatically.
After pushing the reset button everything becomes normal and never occurs again until another cut of electricity. That's why I thought that it's not because of short circuit.

You should have a breaker for the charger itself. Try shutting this off as well and then try connecting yourself to shore power again. If it trips again, try looking at the main breaker (which we are presuming is the cause of this problem) as it may be weak.

Just out of curiosity, where are you that you have 220V shore power ? North American shore power is 120V and that causes enough problems with corrosion and electrocution. 220V power would be even harder to deal with. OUCH  ! ! ! ! !
