We've got 2-footitis. Actually it's more like 6 r 8-footitis but anyway. As we look around for a bigger boat (mainly seeking standing headroom and a real head), I've been checking around to see what we could sell our 2000 Hunter 240 for. Am I looking at these listings wrong? How is it possible that I can now sell my boat for almost $3,000 more than I paid for it? This is a better investment than the stock market (what isn't these days). Can anyone explain why a 2000 Hunter 240 sells for $19-21,000 when I paid $16,9? Eric PS - Anyone want to buy it for $21K?

That is the asking!

The real issue is what are people getting for them. Good luck.

Take the money and run

If indeed you have a real offer at 3G more than you paid, take the money and hurry up to put a deposit on your bigger boat before the same thing happens there. If your 240 went up by that much, you can easily figure out how much more a 32 (8-footitis) will run up too compared with what it sold for last year. Good Luck.

Depends On The Options

Sales Price is meaningless unless you specify what options you purchased and whether or not your purchase price included an outboard. If you purchased a fully loaded 2000 240 4 stroke outboard , you could easily have 20 -21k tied up.
