I have a 1995 H26 and the port long fixed plexiglass has had a leak.... Forever

I decided to remove and reseal.
I removed the plexiglass, cleaned both surfaces thoroughly and reinstalled using Dow windshield urethane. I thought all was well and done until I went to wash the boat today after uncovering. I swiped across the window with the wash head and the front just popped out. The plexiglass didn't adhere to the urethane.
What should I use instead?

Hi Jim,

I have a 1995 H23.5. The starboard long window was replaced and professionally reinstalled, twice. It popped off both times. I called the Hunter factory (in about 2004) and spoke with a fellow who'd been installing windows on their boats for over 20 years. Below is what he described to me. I did exactly what he said and the window hasn't moved in all these years. I did use the Dow 1205, and I did clamp the window because I didn't want to take a chance. I tied ropes around the entire boat as tight as I could and then slid boards and stuff between the window and rope until it had good pressure. If I remember correctly, he said DC795 is used for skyscraper windows. Apparently they later switched to another DC product that is used on aircraft windows.

Best done when weather is cool and dry. Use monofilament 40lb test fishing line
to cut through existing adhesive. It won't scratch the window like piano
wire. Scrape old adhesive off hull and clean with acetone. Holding window in
place, draw a pencil line around from the inside, then use 80 grit sandpaper to
scuff up the window outside this line IE where the adhesive goes for
bonding. Also scuff up the hull for adhesion. Wipe off dust with dry
rag. Put 3/8" beads of DC795 on window and hull so there is good contact on both
and press on. Factory doesn't even clamp; just presses on with a knee. Use Ivory soapy water to clean 795
excess ooze.

NOTE: Aqua Supply suggests using primer Dow 1205 on the substrates
for proper adhesion.

Rick pretty much said it all. However, do not use acetone on the window or it will craze it badly. Plastics do not like acetone. Use only alcohol. Heck I used moonshine a couple of times when out of alchohol.
