My new pride and joy is a 28 mkII I rescued (bought) this week from an owner who loved her, but somehow allowed for some serious cabin cushion neglect in the form of some tears, an amazingly excessive amount of diesel soot from a disconnected exhaust system, and zippers corroded into a locked position. I am willing to make heroic efforts to save them, but the reality is setting in that I might have to scrap them if I want her inside to be as pretty as her outside. Has anyone had any experience replacing cushion covers, or entire cushion/mattresses, how did you go about it, and how much would that cost?

Good luck!

The price range I found on 99s was pretty much 40-49, depending on the condition. The condition, the end of season, sellers moving, and other factors can help you with a motivated seller. Earlier this year, I negotiated over a 2003 in pristine condition for which the owner was asking a premium, and ultimately wasn't very willing to budge. Check out the Nadaguides website for a general idea. Of course, ultimately the value/cost of a boat is what someone is willing to pay for it... Good luck!

Recently had all the cushions for my 270

recovered using the exsisting foam with some additional batting sheets added. Used an upholstery shop in the desert about 120 miles from the ocean, used dark blue plush and white vinyl for the backs( like originals). 12 pieces (aft cabin, forepeak etc.) plus lining the front edges of the bottom seat boards was $1200 and they would have liked more after they actually finished, but stuck by their original price.
