repowering

I am interested in repowering my 1978 hunter 30. It currently has a yanmar ysm12. First question, How much is an engine like that worth. It has maybe 60 or 70 hours since being rebuilt. Second, what are some of the engines that others have used to replace it. I am looking for more power. Thank you

Richard, I put a new vetus 3.09 in my 1976 Hunter 30, the installation was a breeze, I had to beef up one rail (left side) and redrill the mounts. The engine is almost 200 pounds lighter, and smaller too. I just launched it last friday, and it was holding 7 knots at 1900 RPM's. Its a 3 cyl, and 25 hp, with a two year warranty.
