Repowering Yankee Dolphine

The Yankee Dolphine (24 ft)came with a vire 7 inboard -- which died. Trying to decide on a replacement -- the space is small and I here many are noisy. Any suggestions and why? Beta Marine has a 10Hp as does Yanmar, among others. Thanks Tom DeLamarter

Vire 7 Replacement

This is a very small gas engine. It may be difficult to shoehorn a replacement into the allotted space. You may wish to download some of the technical info’ (linked), and take it to an engine dealer. Knowing what they are replacing, with some dimensions from your boat, should help them in advising you.
