To anyone: I have an '86 First 305, built in France. It is time to replace the cabin windows which are acrylic and attach to the outside of the cabin. Beneteau used a nice gasket material, gray in colorm about 3/32" thick to seal the window. I have not been able to find such material in catalogs; no I have not contacted the Beneteau. Any suggestions ot there?

Window replacement

Nov.14, 2000 Nov. 14,2000 Dear Mr. Obremsky, When we replaced some hatches on The Legend I used a smoked poly carbonate material cut to size by a local plastics distributor. I wanted to use Lexan but couldn't get it. For a sealant we used an exterior grade, long life, silicon latex caulking product to form the gasket seal. It hasn't leaked and no further gasketing was required. I hope this helps. Brian Pickton@BeneteauOwners.net Aboard The Legend, Rodney St.Lucia
