Does anyone have any information on the windlass switch (red one near the Nav. Station)? Ours will no longer pull out (to the on position) and I guess I need to find an new one. I will not be back on the boat for several days and need to get it ordered asap so any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Scott

Are you sure it's just not already out? I know, dumb question. But the first couple of times we used the switch it was a little confusing. It resulted in us leaving it on a couple of times by mistake. (Pull off/Push on)

Remember this is more than just a switch, it is also your breaker so be sure to replace it with the required rating. If you check out Aircraft breakers you will find the company that makes them for Maxwell. Breaker 80 Amp Push Pull Klixon-Style

I will double check it again when I can get back on the boat...I know from past experience these switches/breakers can be hard to use. We have not used it in 3 years but the new owners plan to use the windlass so I need to get it operational. I have seen two different amp ratings 135 and 85 referred to regarding these breakers??

Thanks

Push to turn on, pull to turn off. The red knob should be stamped on the front either 80 or 135. Maxwell still has the 80 amp models in stock but the 135amp are NLA.

Switch seems to be working fine now...must have been operator error...it does require a firm push and I think I was being too gentle during the first test.
