Replacing Windex Wind Vane

A freak storm took out my Windex wind vane on the mast head. Is it possible to replace one without unstepping the mast? You might not get enough height to the mast head on a bosun's chair. Thoughts anyone?

Just to use climbing gear, something like the ATN product that gets you above the top. Lots of info here if you use "Search" and "mast climbing".

The bosun's chair should work but if not hire the yard to do it they will put someone up with a crane and bosun's chair. 5 min job to do and cheaper then removing mast !
