I want to replace the termal/perspex window on my Tempest. I have removed the windows and found that they are retained by a thick rubber seal, combined with a white rubber infill. The seals are so old that they have cracked as I have removed them. Where can I get some replacements?? Kind regards Clive

Rubber spline

Clive - Lots of window applications use rubber splines (storm window, RV's, Vans, some trailer homes) so you may be able to contact a supplier with the dimmensions of the rubber you took out and order new stuff. More likely though, you're going to find that suppliers will need to extrude it and will only want to do a big production run. An alternative is to use foam tape to hold the the window in the frame then use silicone to make new gaskets. Justin - O'day Owners' Web

I'm faced with same project

I'm faced with same project and have found the same materials in a industrial supply catalog called McMaster-Carr. You need to have a company letter head in order to recieve a catalog/orders. The NJ phone number is: 732-329-3200 fax 732-329-3772 internet; www.mcmaster.com. I have found the closed cell rubber for under the pop top in this catalog.pg.#2900 Good Luck.
